The book festival is back; at The Terrace!

The book festival is back, starting 13th May - 17th May. The tickets went on sale to all Festival Friends from March 25th and on general sale from Wednesday 1st April.

Words in Special Places - Join us at some new festival venues to enjoy the literature of Lincoln with our special guest readers. Wednesday 13th May 10am at Café Portico. Free.

David Hewson’s detective duo Costa and Peroni police the mean Italian streets of Venice and Rome. Find out why the author chooses to set his crime thrillers in abroad and how the foreignness of another country can get under your skin. Saturday 16th May - 1pm at Cafe Portico. £4/£2.

Marcel Theroux: Far North. Award-winning novelist and documentary film-maker Marcel Theroux’s novels include The Paperchase and A Blow to the Heart. His latest, Far North, leads the reader on a quest through an unforgettable arctic landscape, from humanity’s origins to its likely end. Bleak, haunting, spare – and yet ultimately hopeful - the novel is suffused with an ecstatic awareness of the world’s fragility and beauty, and its unexpected ability to recover from our worst trespasses. Saturday 16th May at The Terrace - 4pm. £4/£2.

I can't wait for the book festival to come around. So many interesting and famous people right here in Lincoln. And then right after the book festival it's Lincoln Beer Festival. Roll on May!
