Root Studio, The Terrace’s own eco friendly Graphic Design are set to go one step further in tackling climate change! By promising to plant a tree for every new client they receive in 2008/9 they hope to make the county’s businesses become greener.
Root Studio’s founders, Tom Bradley and Lydia Sibson say:
“By planting a tree for every new client we receive we are hoping to offset our clients’ carbon footprint whilst improving Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire’s environment and provide habitats for our local wildlife. By choosing to use our design services you will not only receive high quality products but you will be safe in the knowledge that your project’s environmental impact has been kept to an absolute minimum.”
All trees planted by the studio will be British broad-leaved trees planted within the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire countryside. Root Studio are hoping that their latest campaign will have a positive impact on others within the local community, helping them to become more aware of the climate change issue.
This is not the first green idea that Root Studio have had since they arrived on the scene in 2007. With environmental awareness at their core this innovative design team strive to use as many recycled products as possible, from recycled papers to vegetable inks, bio-degradable banners and even solar powered websites.
Based in The Terrace, Root’s most recent clients include the likes of the Lincolnshire Show, the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts, the EPIC Project, JHWalter and My Wedding Story.
Jonathan Ryan of My Wedding Story said: “Root Studio helped us put together some marketing materials earlier this year and they have proved highly successful. Our brochures, printed on 100% recycled paper using vegetable inks, were of outstanding quality and went from concept to print without using a single sheet of paper.”
